Somewhat curiously, and a tad serendipitously, that SUPER HEREO in the 'American Experiment' , Batman occupies a special space in that part of the hegemonic global sensibility that tends to seep in everywhere, even the Antipodes.
In contemporary 'Tasmania', Batman holds a place in the history of the world that increasingly is located on the 'wrong side of history'. Yet Batman in the American experiment is unambiguously on the right side, and so far as it seems likely, he seems destined to retain that position for the foreseeable future.
